In 1885, when Frenchman Georges de Latour’s wife, Fernande, first laid eyes on the land that would become their original Rutherford vineyard, she named it “beau lieu” or “beautiful place”, and Beaulieu Vineyard was born. It is one of the longest continually operating wineries in Napa Valley with over 100 years of rich history that speaks of a “beautiful place” and extraordinary people who shaped winemaking in America. Guests can sample an unequaled selection of fine wines and learn about wine making from several seminars and wine tours that run daily. Explore the Old Winery and wine-aging tunnels built by Chinese workers who were employed to hand-chisel rock tunnels that were to be used for the storage and aging of wines. These fantastic tunnels built years ago are still used today. Don’t forget to check out The Rhine House, exhibiting the fine, detailed craftsmanship of the Victorian era with beautiful exterior stonework, stained-glass windows and interior wood paneling.

Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Choose Black Tie for Your Next Wine Tour

Andretti WineryIf you have never had the pleasure of enjoying a wine tour, then you should wait no longer. Black Tie is offering a great shuttle service that tours some of the greatest wineries around. However, we know that you may want to shop around for the best company to take you on your first wine tour. But first, to prove that Black Tie is the company that you should be using, here are the top 5 reasons to for choosing them:

  1. The driving is done for you. Let’s face it: driving is not always something that you want to do on your vacation. It is much nicer to be driven around by a company that knows exactly where to go, because quite frankly getting lost really stinks. Also, gas prices are just insane nowadays. With Black Tie’s shuttle service, you don’t have to worry about filling your tank and you get to feel secure riding with a company that knows what they are doing.
  2. Driver’s gratuity is included. We all know that tipping is the proper thing to do, but sometimes it gets confusing just how much you should tip or you dread that increased expense. Black Tie understands this and made sure to include it into your entire price, so you don’t have to worry about it.
  3. No need to pack a lunch. Black Tie is awesome in the way that they stop at the great V. Sattui for a gourmet luncheon. You will be sure to feel as if you hit food heaven. It’s always nice to know that your food is included in your tour, because you don’t have to fret over what to bring on your trip.
  4. The wine tour is great for any occasion. On Black Tie’s shuttle service, you can bring a significant other for a great date, some co-workers for a day out, or even just some friends to spend the day with. Black Tie is sure to accommodate whatever the party may consist of.
  5. Meet new people. Black Tie’s shuttle service is a great way to meet and socialize with some new people. It never hurts to meet some new people. After schooling, it tends to be more difficult to make new friends and this would be a great way to meet some.
